Hobart Thousand Final Race 8Fernando Mick, went a lot better than I thought last week, last year when you would have thought it was at it's peak in age and racing, it couldn't run out the 461mtrs and failed to break 26.00 three times, this year it comes of running a heap of 515mtr races and has lost about 1 kilo from last year and about 2 kilos since it started winning. Paua of Buddy drawn well has run a fraction faster thru the 1st and 2nd split than FM. but FM has the best run home of all the dogs only based on last weeks run, take last week race away, and a couple of these others are much better in the run home. Hard to get a line thru Vice Grip but it has improved a mile with new trainer.

Race 2don't know why the 8 dog is in Tas. and has missed the recent big races over the 461 unless it can run pretty good around the two turn track, but is ideally drawn out wide, both the 5 and 6 have been going really well, but maybe not drawn that well together and may look to cross inside who has early speed but has tracked wide a few times early from inside draws Race 1 didn't post but the 4 and 8 are standouts in the race , the 8 prefers the inside and the shorter 340mtrs and raced earlier this week, the 4 is stepping up in distance has better run home than the 8 dog

Race 510 gets a start, again rates higher then anything in this field, but can be a bit unreliable , but also the 4 has failed over the 461mtrs an prefers the shorter distance, the 6 not as well drawn is rated at best run possible

Race 3 I have not posted but the Fav BIG OPAL ROCKS ran poorly last start nothing unusual about that it either wins or runs near last, rates well above these dogs at Best , was looking at a place wager either DEWANA IMAGINE who has recently beaten most of these others over the 599/600 and the 8 WAS THAT THEN a maiden who has run the best run home times of all runners over the 599/600 and wants the 8box, DI only beat it narrowly recently

Race 6a very even race, I thought the 8 had every chance and ran the time it did last week, whereas the 7 may have been held up thru T1 , the 7 does cross to the rails, as does the 6 dog. 1 has been very hit an miss is a very young dog, its run home time last week, was an elite sectional only run by dogs like hooked on scotch and tommy selby etc, but gives away too much early, thought the 2 was held up last week and should improve

Race 7the 3 dog resumed from a letup 2 runs have been ok but not as good as what it had run previous, might have been a fitness level?, it has a lot of early speed drawn on either side, so it needs to be on game. 7 has run well recently needs inside draw and will run on well if there is a jam it looks to be on spot

Race 9the 8 is the only dog racing inform, is a wide runner but seems to under-perform when drawn wide, will need to begin better , 5 has run poorly last three starts and quick backups not ideal, 2 is also very slow early, 6 needs another chance
