the best exotic race on the program here
3 should be able to lead here and win
1 is perfectly placed to rail through into the placings
4,8 are suited in this grade of race with the lack of quality

1 - 5
2 - 3 is a slow out run on dog and the 5 will be the clear leader here
3 - a good exotic race here, the 1 should be able to win and the 5,6 look the main dangers
4 - 8 - simply wins here
5 - 6 should be far too good for these
6 - the Q should be 1,3
8 - the best two runners here are the 1,6. the 6 went very nicely in winning last start
10 - 6 - gets the vacant box in 5 to help it early, only needs early luck to be too strong for these
11 - the early pace is from the 7 and 8. I think the 8 might be a tad stronger at the end. these two should clear out from the rest and one of these should be winning

interesting race, not sure how to line the #2 up as its form is from Mt Gambier. I think the red drawn nicely and can begin ok is the one to look out for. the 5,7 can begin quick. I think the 5 might be able to lead early. the 4 will be slow out but will run on.
race 8

7 - $3.30
3 - $6
they are the only 3 I can see winning this event. the 8 could be in the market, but I cant see it getting into the race from out there

Thursday night
race 1 3 - leads here and hard to run down 4 - slow out and will run on nicely, should be able to run a place
race 2 - 1 - should lob midfield or closer and will run on, suited by the draw 4 - fitter for recent racing, top trainer, main hope 5 - slow out, runs on fairly solid, good exotic hope at odds
race 5 - 7 should lead again and win
race 6 - 1 walked out last start, normally a reliable beginner
race 8 - 5 won from this draw last week in the quickest time of the heats, no reason why it wont win again |

the 3 should be well suited in this race today, the chances for the exacta are 7,5
race 6 - 2 - simply wins here, perhaps 3 is the best for the exacta
race 7 - 3 - should LAW again
race 8 - 8 clearly the best dog here ahead of the 5,3. fairly even field

RACE 1
tricky race with 2 ex NSW visitors. however Im prepared to risk them a little at this stage.
on an eye scan look at the race, 4,6,8 are the quickest runners. however the 8 has had 28 race starts for 15 placings and is 6 placings from 7 starts at the t/d, but is slow out, run on.
of these 3, the 6 looks like it will be the quickest out, and being in the first 4 on the first turn in these day meetings is a massive advantage.

my top 4 here are the 1,3,5,7
7 is the best runner here, not the quickest out, but can muster good speed
1,3 are fairly consistent beginners and look to be the early leaders
5 - will be nice odds, it has the ability to lead these and win. was on it last start where it didn't begin that well and got into some trouble. no real pace around it today and if can get anything over $8, is well worth a win bet

2 is the best runner here, but can be slightly hit and miss. on its best form it is a genuine $1.10 chance
3 - cant win, can be placed
7 - is the 2nd best dog in the race by a long long way, but is unfortunately its past few races haven't been upto scractch. resuming since middle of November, not overly suited out wide, but this will be $20+ on the tote and well worth a small ew bet.
would not be surprised here, if the 2 misses the start, tried to rail through and get checked out of it and the 7 begins nicely out wide, misses early trouble and runs away with it running 30-15

RACE 3
very interesting race
the red flew last start both at the start with a quick first sectional and its second split was also quite quick. quite simply a repeat of that run and it wins here
4 - is the best runner in the race, assisted by a vacant box 5, can begin on terms.
7 - clearly the 3rd best. had no luck in the same race in which the red flew in winning. it ran back in the pack after being hampered at the start and down the back straight. normally a good beginner.
then you have the 2, and its in with a hope from the good draw and with a little luck early if it can rail behind the red, can run into the placings
the 8 - cant win, but can certainly run a place, its a non-chaser, just likes to run with
this is one very good race to watch
I have a sneaking suspicion that I will be on the 4

just on race 3
the other reason why I think I will be on the 4, is I think it is a good $2.50 chance, and it ran very nice time at strath last start. I do like my dogs to run good time at strath, is normally a very good indication
