Searching for difference in the number of mishaps between gallops and greyhounds. In the last two years 0.84% of greyhound starters failed to finish the race for one reason or other according to a member on an other forum. But there would be a lot more who did finish but not won or placed due interference. Anyone knows the rate on the gallops?
What I really am interested in is where in racing in general are the most unforeseen chances of missing out on a winner due to mishap? I know the gallops are different and missing a winner due to jockey shenanigans far outweigh the mishaps but you can't find that sort of statistics anywhere.
In short where do you think we miss out most on winners due mishaps-jockeys action? Gallops or dogs?
