Here is the bet format for TABtouch, for placing wagers in the Expert tab.
Enter your bet
The general format used is date, eventid, selections and bet value.
For example 10.04.19 SR1T 1..4..2..10 would place a bet on 10 April 2019 for Sydney Race 1 Trifecta pool, Horse 1 to run first, horse 4 to run second and horse 2 to run third. The value of this bet combination is $10.00.
Betting Receipts and Cancellations
The current bet details shows the value and details of the last batch of bets sent to TABtouch
This can be an easy bet, a keyed text bet or a bet file. All successful bets and errors will be displayed in this window.
Highlighting a previous bet and clicking on the button will cancel that bet and credit your account with the bet value. Bets can only be cancelled one at a time and must be within 60 seconds of the bet being placed.
General Format for text bets
There are three groups of information that must be entered:
The date of the event
The event ID
The bet selections and value
Some examples are:
11.04.19 SR1W 1..5.0 11th April 2019 Sydney Race 1 Win pool. Horse number 1 to win for $5.
11.04.19 AT3T 1..7..3..10 11th April 2019 Adelaide Trot 3 Trifecta pool. Horse 1 to win, horse 7 for second, horse 3 for third for $10.
12.04.19 PD8C 2..5..3..1..20 12th April 2019 Perth Dog 8 Quartet pool. Dog 2 to win, 5 for second, 3 for third, 1 for fourth for $20.
Each bet must be terminated by the Enter Key/carriage return except the last one. The first bet line must contain the date, event ID, the bet selections and value. Subsequent bet lines may contain either only the bet, the eventID and bet, the date and event
Fixture ID’s/Location
Generally begin with the first letter of the capital city of the state which the event is being held in. For example -
A Adelaide Events from South Australia begin with A
B Brisbane Events from Queensland begin with B
C Country Events from outside the Perth Metropolitan area begin with C
M Melbourne Events from Victoria begin with M
O Other Events from any other place in the world begin with O
P Perth Events from Perth Metropolitan area begin with P
S Sydney Events from New South Wales begin with S
The next letter of the Fixture ID refers to the racing "code". The 3 codes are –
R for Races (Thoroughbreds)
T for Trots (Harness)
D for Dogs (Greyhounds)
If there are two meetings in the same state, then one of these meetings will become an “extra” and the Fixture ID will be appended with ‘X’.
e.g., if there are two or more greyhound meetings in NSW, one meeting would be SD the other SDX, SDB.
Additional meeting codes were introduced to accommodate the increasing volume of meetings being covered.
The B in these codes does not represent Brisbane, nor does the first letter, such as the A or M, represent Adelaide or Melbourne as the venue. They are purely codes used to identify a selected meeting.
