1 - looks the good bet, Im expecting this to go close to winning this. - place odds - $1.30
below are some quinella/exacta combos
1/7 1/3 1/5,6,8
as a saver take 3,5,6,7,8/1
the concerning factor here is the 3 and 6 are having their first runs over this trip.
the 7 also had to pass a satisfactory trial for failing to chase - which will bode well as it probably wont go past the leader/winner in the 1!! (hopefully) |

really can only see 2 strong hopes in this

1 - $1.60 - has its best sectionals from this draw.
8 - $1.80 - can handle wide draws, however its last 3 wins have been over the middle distances an to win these day meetings you must be up on the pace. should comfortably run on into the drum

Race 1 - 5 looks solid place
4 will improve. I didnt rate it last week from box 7 it jumped $3.50 and got smashed out of boxes. I expect a better run today but will just watch it and bet on 5

RACE 1
really looks a race with only two solid winning hopes here in the 3,7
I think we keep this simple and bet on the quinella and exacta
perhaps also the tri 3,7/3,7/f
Race 2
1 - ran its quickest time last week from box 2, must be respected in exotics
3 - 26 starts for 9 placings - that is the concern, this is its 3rd start here in SA from WA. should find this race very suitable
4 - this will be long odds - its only had the 1 start for a 2nd at Gawler. it was big odds that day, it was slow out and wanted to get wide early. but once it balanced up it motored home. the others here aren't overly strong and if it can jump cleanly I think its a great ew hope.
5,6 are probably the only others worth considering

3 - is one with a poor winning strike rate. has satisfactory trialled in 30-14 - that would win this
2 - is the clear and obvious 2nd pick here
race 7
8 - this ran in a heat of the Melbourne Cup - it ran third. back to an Wednesday Angle Park S/E heat - it will just absolutely smash these runners.
6 - has the speed to lead this field and will give a good sight out in front, looks the exacta dog
4 - looks the next pick just ahead of the red, who should get a nice rails run through
the 8 should be $1.04

next for the exotics is the red and then 4,5
looks a good first four betting race with different combos for differing amounts
however looking for a top pick, I will stick with the 2. the 7 will be fav, a vic visitor with good form, but if the 2 can land in the first 3 on the first turn and is within 3 lengths of the leader, I say it just wins
